HISTORY
ADAPT BRAND IS BORN
2011
Established officially in 2011, the roots of Adapt trace back to the early '90s when both Pieter and Olga found their passion for inline skating.
Pieter's inline skating career was primarily focused on the organisation side of the sport, organizing demo's, running a forum and owning a skateshop and skatepark. The idea of some day creating his own skate was always in the back of his mind.
Olga was more focused on competition and became six times Dutch National Champion. When their paths crossed it soon became apparent that they had a similar drive and passion for the sport and the idea of starting a project together quickly formed. One year later, they had the first pair of Adapt prototypes in their hands.
FIRST MODEL RELEASE
2012
The fundamental concept behind Adapt is to create the ultimate high-end boot, regardless of the expenses involved. The first model released by Adapt was an aggressive skate, the Harmanus One. A carbon/kevlar monocoque shell with built-in cuff, with a leather skin and calfskin lining. This first model pioneered several features in the inline skating industry, primarily the CNC machined symmetrical soulplate.
ADAPT UNLIMITED
2013
Pioneering in tailor-made skates, Adapt took the next step in 2013 and created the Adapt Unlimited custom builder. This tool allows customers to create a skate to the colorway of their liking, offering a range of color and material choices. The Adapt Unlimited custom builder has evolved over time and remains a unique feature that Adapt has to offer.
FIRST FREESKATE RELEASE
2015
The first freeskate created by Adapt - the Hyperskate Zero - quickly became a staple in the Adapt lineup. The concepts used in the aggressive model were refined for the freeskate model, creating a distinctive performance skate. The Hyperskate served as the foundational platform where many major Adapt innovations took shape.
SYMETRICS FLAT FRAME
2015
The Symetrics Flat Frame was the first production CNC machined aggressive frame on the market. The design set the standard for modern flat frames, optimizing dimensions, wheel position, and groove angles. Upgraded over the years with CNC machined 7000 aluminium hardware, and also available as an aluminium version, this frame continues to be a cornerstone in the Adapt collection.
SYMETRICS QUATTRO FRAME
2018
Adapt advanced frame design with the introduction of the Quattro frame. A key enhancement lies in the mounting system – utilizing four outside bolts instead of two single bolts, significantly boosting the frame-to-boot connection for unmatched powertransfer and control. With a hi-lo setup, the Quattro frame optimizes dimensions, ensuring a balance between speed and maneuverability. Machined from a solid block of 7000 aluminum, no consessions were made in material quality and costs.
SUPERLEGGERA
2020
The Superleggera model is the outcome of years of research and development. Adapt took apart the Hyperskate platform and rebuilt it from the ground up. The shell is precision fitted to a footshape which creates ultimate powertransfer. The shell is made using advanced pre-preg carbon technology, different from traditional wet lay carbon, making it stronger, lighter and more refined. The skeleton lining follows the contours of the shell exactly for a precision fit. The unique wrap around strap provides great ankle flexibility.
The Superleggera model stands as a trailblazer, marking Adapt's entry into the future.
SUPERVELOCE
2023
The Superveloce model is the UFS iteration of the Superleggera, using the same shape and design but adapted for UFS compatibility. The dimensions of the shell are optimized specifically for aggressive skating.
Adapt once again became a trailblazer by releasing the Superveloce with a 3D printed MJF soulplate that was made per size.
THE FUTURE
2024
Over the years, Adapt has created a design platform that is applicable for multiple sports. From 2024 going onwards we are branching out into other boot-specific sports that we feel passionate about.
