Adapt is proud to step into a direction to create the ultimate flatground skate tool.

The Performante SMR (Skate Movement Research) is a high performance UFS boot designed for flatground skating and the first of its kind to be fully designed for the task. 

In collaboration with Pietro Firrincieli, Adapt and Skate Movement Research we developed a UFS based boot and took it to the next level. 

You want ultimate performance and direct feel? We designed the first QUATTRO UFS mounting simply for this reason. Why mount a frame with only 2 bolts and on the inside of the boot? Because it was a standard set up years ago. We are now in 2026, time to step up the game.

Looking towards the precision of the Superleggera's Quattro system, why do we not put this system into the flat based boots? 

An idea took shape.. frames had been designed, mountings tested. The new Quattro UFS mount still offers the option to mount UFS only frames, but now also features the more rigid option of mounting the frame on the outside by using 4 outer bolts. Creating more space inside the frame, more powerdelivery and with an unmatched feel. 

With our Quattro UFS mount, you can use the center 2 UFS bolts, or the 4 outer Quattro bolts so you can also quickly change between 4 or 5 wheel set-ups. Or use the full on power mode and use 6 bolts in total and fully unlock ultimate power delivery.

For 2026 we have updated so many details in order to make the skate even more special. 

Pietro has been part of re-designing the WZRD plate together with Pieter Wijnant and Jelle Briggeman. A new cad design had been made, tested and approved. The new Performante plate is 3D printed out of Adapt's own plastic formula that protects the boot longer and also unlocks better feel during toe and heel presses. 

We've reworked the carbon shell build up, making it lighter but also stronger, re-locating different carbon structures. After this we looked at the skeleton lining. How can we improve on a tailor made fitting lining system that is 100% heatmoldable? By going again to the basics and finding more advanced materials. The internals are completely new. A new XRD foam has been made for Adapt in The Netherlands that is a bit softer and reacts a bit faster to body temperature. The respons is nothing but amazing, pure performance mixed with comfort.  The tongue is made from nubuck leather and has inner XRD foams and structural fibers in it to give the best feedback possible.

The Adapt Performante SMR is the best flatground skate we have ever produced. No question. This is not a toy, not a mass production skate... This is on another level.
